Dorset Magazine Pub of the Year Finalist 2017

We are proud to announce that the Scott Arms has been chosen as one of three finalists in the Best Pub of the Year in the Dorset Magazine’s Food, Drink & Farming Awards 2017. The awards are designed to showcase the great and the good in Dorset, and reward the hardworking people behind them, including suppliers and producers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hoteliers.

In a shortlist of just three pubs, the Scott Arms obviously faced stiff competition across the county so it’s a fabulous recognition not just for Simon, Ian and Nicky but indeed for all the bar staff, kitchen crew and behind-the-scenes effort. Most impressive of all, the pub has been nominated by the Dorset Magazine’s readers and wider public so it’s a genuine reflection of our customers’ opinions and we’d like to thank everyone that voted for us.

The awards presentation dinner took place at the Italian Villa in Compton Acres on Thursday, 28th September where the overall winner was announced as the Anchor Inn in Seatown. Dorset has some fabulous pubs set in some wonderful locations so we’re in some top, top, company. Please pay us a visit to see what all the fuss is about; we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
